How is the Genesys OS updated, floppy, CD, USB, or how ?
What is the size of the OS file, how many MB's ?

Genesys is updated via floppy or CD. The size seems to vary depending on the updates but the lastest one was sent to me via e-mail and fit onto one floppy.
I own a Genesys, SD1, Roland G1000 and will soon be getting a Bohm Silverbird (bet that one raises some questions!).
SD1 and Genesys can't be beaten and Genesys does not sound like a SD1 at all as some have said in the past on here. If you want features like MP3 and CD recording go with Genesys otherwise get an SD1 or even a XD9 if you prefer 61 notes.

What do you think about the Genesys compared to the Roland. How are the sounds, is the GM playback good.

What do you think about the yamaha stuff compared to the Genesys.

I also have a SD1 and am selling my VA7. would you recomend the yam or GEM

could you record something with the Genesys for us all to hear? If not a complete song, maybe just short bits of the best sounds and styles. I would greatly appreciate that.
