Ok Tony ya got me. I hate it! JUST KIDDING. I hate the problem I'm having........but the sound is terrific, very live band sounding. The keybed is the best I've ever played on an arranger style board( of course not counting the Clavinova CVP 307). Having 76 keys is a plus, I've always felt like I was jammed in sitting at a 61 keyboard. And if I want to play a piano solo it's a 1 Touch that takes me out of arranger mode and into piano over the entire keyboard. Features I have longed for with Yammie. ( use to set up a reg for 1 touch piano on the T2 )

Cassp, thanks for the heads up on UPS.

Thanks for the reply. I don't understand why Roland sticks 190MB of samples in this machine, but provides no way to access them. That means that, unless a ROM program uses the multisample, we can't get to them (without Richard's Session Manager). There aren't many electric guitar ROM programs, but there are a lot of electric guitar multisamples (more, I'm guessing, than are used by the ROM programs). I would really like to be able to get to those unused multisamples to expand the number of electric guitar tones available. I guess I'll have to try Session Manager.

Once I determine whether they'll pay for damage repair or not I'll then take it to the local Authorized Roland Repair Dealer. Putting in mildly, I Am Not a Happy Camper. Don't misunderstand it has nothing to do not liking the G70.

Richard,
I'm sorry the G70 got damaged. I played it at Hank's house a couple days before it was shipped, and it was perfect. I don't believe it left his house more than once or twice since he bought it from George.
As I sure you know, he even had UPS pack it, and he included a $200. hard case, just to be sure.
I only use UPS if no other option is available as I've had numerous bad experiences with them. On the other hand, Fedex has never let me down.

I've can attest that Hank has gear packed Super Good....sounds like a case of jostled parcels over the road.....with no damage to the exterior box might be difficult for a claim?

Don will be setting mine up this week and shipping it soon after. Really apprehensive about only 7 pedals after using 13 for so many years, and hate touch screens. I'm looking at this as a "bridge" instrument until the Audia is shipped and all the bugs are worked out.

Probably wouldn't have ordered it if the fact that it had a touch screen had sunk in!
Went to Louisville and saw one yesterday...wasn't all that impressed, initially. I only spent 1/2 hour with it.

We'll see,

Russ

It was packed very well inside a Gator case then packed up at the UPS depot by UPS. UPS must have really tossed it around. I read another post at the Roland Arranger forum where the touch screen on someone's G70 would not respond at all. Turns out there was a loose wire attached to the LCD.

Ric, did you already set the Sound Set Mode in "Extended" into Menu->Utility window?

By realizing that it's dysfunction comes as a result of damage, NOT design...
