I use a simple lightweight X stand for the smaller gigs, but when I need rock solid keyboard support (no bounce), no leg/knee obstrusion, unlimited foot accessibility for multi controller pedals etc, I take the Quiklok Monolith (M91) keyboard stand. I like it because (in addition to being able to fold completly FLAT (minimal storage space in the car trunk), it's pretty easy to carry. I remember reading somewhere that Quiklok manufacters a specific 'Mic Boom attachment' which will work on the Monolith.

Exactly WHERE and HOW is this attached to the stand?

Also, what is the Quiklok 'part number' for this attachement?

See my previous post on the model number for the quiklok mic attachment but be careful and check if it's 28mm or 30mm size which may have different model number !!

Han, the Quiklok Monolith (M91) is not a round tubular X type stand, so I don't think the attachement part you mentioned will work on it.

Quiklok does make a mic boom attachement for their 'Z' type stand line though. I'm wondering if that one would work on the Monolith as well. Anyone here know?

José, MANY thanks for giving me the link. I now remember (bingo!) reading this before but somehow wasn't able to find that specific thread. I'll going to order the QuikLok Z-728 now that I'm assured (from the Pro) that it actually fits on the Monolith M91 stand. It's a bit odd though, that Quiklok doesn't acknowledge (on their website) that it works with it though.
