I have a 100 watt Polytone Mini/Tini Brute guitar amp that I no longer use. If you, or anyone else is interested, I'll let it go for $75 plus shipping. I used it for doing small, private parties for a few years and it worked just fine.

Yes, I used it with the 2000 and it sounded pretty good. It was the same scenario, a room of 16 X 28 with about a dozen people drinking and singing their hearts out. I ran the keyboard straight into the amp using the mono output, and it had all the punch you needed for a room of that size and larger. I also used it when I was playing some of the smaller senior centers with the PSR-5700 and PSR-740 and it sounded good with them as well. It obviously doesn't have the bottom end of a 15-inch Barbetta Sona 32, but there is sufficient punch to handle most of the small room venues.

If you're going to use more than one mic, you'll need to use a mixer, otherwise with a single mic, just plug into the 2000 and it will do an admirable job.
I bought the amp about 10 years ago to have as a spare. As UD and Donny will tell you, I'm a nut case about having spares. That's why I have two of just about everything. The amp was used a couple dozen times at most and is in excellent condition.

With all due respect to Gary, I would not play a keyboard through a guitar amplifier. The guitar amps are optimized for the frequency range of about 600 hz to 6 khz, whereas a keyboard, especially an arranger, produces a full range signal, with bass and drum lines, which could go as low as 40-50 Hz, and violins and many other instruments going above 16 KHz. The guitar amp, which usually has a single speaker, will usually not reproduce the arranger sounds correctly. The keyboard amps and bass amps are both optimized for low frequency response much better than a guitar amp is. However, the bass amps usually do not have good high-end response. The moral - try to use a keyboard amplifier. To do it on the cheap, use computer speakers. The Yamaha YST-MS50 is an excellent choice. I bought mine for $85 at CompUSA, and they are great. You should also look in the computer stores or on the internet - they will be much cheaper than at the music stores. The other, slightly more expensive option - http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=.../base_id/100216 This is Rogue 1560 "stereo" amp at Musician's Friend. It is supposed to have stereo horns along with a single woofer, and is rated for 100 Watts. This might work. In fact, I would much prefer to use a stereo sound, to take advantage of the the stereo samples played by your keyboard. Regards

As I explained, the guitar amp was used mainly as a back-up, just in case my Peavey were to drop dead in the midddle of a performance.
That particular guitar amp had a very wide frequency response, probably because it was made before guitar amps became so specialized that they were tuned for higher frequencies. It worked just fine!
As for stereo, I fully agree. A pure stereo output is far superior and that's why when I talked with Han on the phone, I recommended that he look into the Yamaha powered computer speakers as they would probably do a much better job.
Cheers,
Gary
