On my way to a job this afternoon, I passed a Speedway station showing $1.63 per gal. I made a mental note to stop on the way home, only to then find it had changed to $1.57/gal! With gas being the primary cost of playing out, I'm hopeing this is a lasting trend. Anyone else finding such price drops?

My bro was just talking about how cheap gas was today. 1.60 here, usually its like 1.80-1.90... Great! hope it gets cheaper yet.

My theory is the gas monopoly executives know its christmas time of year, and whatever is in their rich, crusted over, old heart feels in the giving mood because of this time of season. haha

Yesterday, I paid $2.45 per gallon and I was on the lookout for the cheapest place. Life in the San Francisco Bay area is expensive.

In Chicago suburbs the price is $186.

I thought that your post meant that you could get a gal for $1.57. This topic perked my interest more than the gas.

Oh shut up you lot, it makes me depressed.

Based on current exchange rates the price of gas here in the UK (82.5p / Litre) is equivalent to $5.03 per US gallon.

This explains why I drive a diesel!

$1.86 for regular at BJ's in Maryland yesterday, $1.98 for high-test.

McAllcock, folks were getting screwed on petro products in the UK when I was a 17-year-old kid in the U.S. Navy. If I recall, it was about $5 a gallon in 1957.

I think we get screwed for price on most things compared to the US!
