Hello,

I have notice some problems using some converted styles on my 9kpro
and I was wondering if someone could help.

Sometimes during playing in arranger mode it sounds like bass drum or the snare is little bit "off".
This does not happen every measure but if you listen carefully for a few minutes
you can hear it.
I have edited the rythm section but everything looks fine, every note is where it should be.
Every measure has the same sequence of bits but still sometimes it looks that the sequencer is
not playing "squere" as it should.
First I tought that quantization would solve the problem but it didn't.
Everything seems fine on the screen but you can hear that sometimes the drumer
"falls aspleep" for a millisecond.

I am starting to think that maybe the 9kpro sequencer has a bug during play back.
It looks like it is not "squere" enought and simetimes it has "blackouts".
If there was a problem with the note assignment in the style I should hear the
offset all the time but that' not the case.

I would appreciate if someone can help.
Is there any way of finding out what is causing the problem, 9kpro or the User style.

Thanks
Denis

Hi Denis,
I must admit I have not played around much with the converted styles, of which there are hundreds. However, I have done a lot of work with the "normal" styles and people's original styles. I have never experienced the problem you mention. I am running the latest version of the OS. I would not like to comment on whether or not your problem is a bug. Have you experienced it on the normal 9000PRO styles? Try taking one or two of them, tweaking them and saving them as new styles. Do you then get the same problem with the new styles? A little detective work is called for. One other thought is you may care to em a style file which is demonstrating the problem. I can then see whether it is evident when played on my 9000PRO.
I hope this is a help for you.
Jon.

Thanks JonPro,

I will investigate the problem little bit more, just to be sure that my 9kpro is OK.
Also, I'll send you the file so you can check if you notice the problem on your board.

Do you think that resolution has anything with this ?
I don't even know if I can change resolution if I edit the style.

Thanks

007

HI: Denis
If you want to you can send me that style &
I will try it on my PRO also.
I use a lot of converted styles, I load them
into the flash styles section, not from
disk direct, & I have never noticed this
problem.
Enjoying the 9000 PRO
Denny
