I recieved three vests that I recently purchased from S&H Uniform Company all of which cost a mere $39.98. I've used them for the past few weeks on the job and the complements have been outstanding. They company was a bit slow in getting a two of the vests to me because they were back-ordered from the manufacturer. The quality, however, is superb, the fit is excellent and when some relativley young ladies come up to you during a performance and said "Damned, you're lookin' good!" I figured the vests were a good investment. Check em' out!

Gary:

Since your suggestion a few weeks ago, I have bought 3 vests and some formal collarless shirts. S & H uniforms was a real find and their prices are reasonable. I bought 3 shirts, green, black and white. 3 vests blackl, maroon and a wild looking striped one. Also bought a pair of formal black pants. This is a great store, by the way are you on commission?

Jerry, yea the one in the picture is one of the ones I bought

I don’t mean to be negative, and I do like the idea, but you must be careful not to be mistaken for a waiter. You have to give it that something extra.

IMHO, John C.

Just a short note here for our UK members .
If we were to appear in 'vests'it certainly would be a new mode
Having seen the pics I now see that Gary is buying 'waistcoats' which here are normally worn only with suits ('tuxs' for our friends over there )
I love this exchange of language.
cheers

No one has evern mistaken me for being their waiter, and I do visit as many of the folks sitting a their tables as possible while performing in restaurants. As DNJ always says "Ya' gotta's Schmooze a little!"

One of the things I've always prided myself about is dressing properly for the occasion. During the cooler months I always wear highly polished dress shoes, black slacks or tux trousers, satin shirt with matching tie and a vest. Some jobs, particularly high end parties, and or course NYE, it's a tux, vest, the works. Summertime jobs, especially in relaxed atmosphere locations, black slacks, highly polished shoes, Hawaiian shirt. If you look and act like a professional, you'll be treated as a professional, and hopefully paid well for your performances.

Cheers,

Gary
