John_Ca is not with us anymore. John passed away on Thursday. He had a heartattack.

I don't know if any of you knew John. I got to know him in May of this year when I got my PSR3000.
John was a very kind and giving man to me. He literally taught me most of what I know about the 3K.

We talked many, many, times on Skype for hours and he never got tired of talking about the 3K or music in general.

I got permission from his wife Nancy to post here and on PSRTUTORIAL.

There will be a void here and on the psr website because John offered his knowledge to all of us unselfiously

John was 51. Much too young.

I didn't know John, but my heart and prayers go out to his family in their time of need.

Our Synthzone family has a deep void today...

Peter, what terribly shocking news to hear this from you, especially since the last time I talked with you on Skype, you had just gotten off the telephone with John_Ca.

51 is WAY too young for sure. Did John have any history of heart or health problems, or did this come on unexpectedly? Are there any specific preventive measures we might take, or symptoms to be aware of leading up to a possible heart attack to warn us?

For those of you who may remember, my cousin succumbed suddenly(& unexpectedly) from a heart attack three years ago, at the age of 43, and a close family friend had one last week at 50. Luckily, as a result of immediate stent surgery, he's now recovering. My DEEPEST condolenses go out to John_Ca's wife Nancy & family.

Nice chatting with you on Skype.

John once told me he had a heart attack 7 years ago. Other than that we never discussed any other health matters.

In regard to your question about preventive measures.....
Overall, moderation in what we eat is probably the best path to follow. In fact, moderation in life, period.

More specifically, there is one product in certain foods that I avoid like the plague and that is Partially Hydrogenated Oils. I personally feel this product is a big contributer of heart disease. If you need more information about this terrible product I'm sure you can find it on Google.

I'm sorry to hear about your cousin dieing at such a young age.

I'm sure John's wife Nancy appreciates all the caring responses.

Good health to all.

Peter

I've been suffering with a really bad back the past couple of weeks and I've not been going to my computer until this morning. John bought his PSR1500 from me about 8 months ago. It was the first time I met John and his lovely wife. He was such a nice guy while we visited in my store. We have lost a very nice man and I too send my prayers to John's familiy.
