Hello ya'll!

I have never heard of the Ketron SD1 until I became a member of this group last week. I have been looking everywhere on the net for demos from this machine but came up empty handed. Anybody cares to show me where I can listen to some demos from the SDI please? And also, does it sound like a synth/workstations like the Triton/Motif? Thank you all a million!

Hi

I have an SD1 its a great keyboard. I have worked in the music industry for a long time working for various manufacturers so i have seen assisted in design and played most. The SD1 is a good sounding keyboard with some very impressive features.

If your UK based log onto www.bck.co.uk threr you can download some demoss. Or log onto to Ketronīs home site. www.ketron.it It is an exciting keyboard and with the new operating system this will just add to an already good instrument.

If your UK based let me know as i am able to get these at reasinable price. If your the other side if the world i check out George Kaye he,s on this forum a lot and seems to know what he,s on about unlike like some music stores.

Hi Islander,

A while ago I put some songs on http://turforkest.iuma.com
the xmas-ones are played on the SD1 and the non-xmas-ones on the X1 (also a Ketron)

Thanks, Daaza! I checked out the web pages you metioned and the listen to some of the demos. They sounded excellent in my opinion. I wish I could actually put my hands on one and test it out. They sound great. But Daaza, I live here in the U.S.A., just recently relocate here from Hawaii so I might check out some of the music shops arround to see if they actually cary one. Again, thank you very much.

Hello,
I ran across an SD-1 in a Guitar Center in Canton, Michigan on 1/23/03 (Product used, but good shape) for around $2500. They want to unload it.

Regarding the SD-1 at GC: I played and checked most of the board out and it seemed very nice. Relatively speaking, a newer model as such should be a good buy at that price and if you ask for Vince (store mgr) he might swing a real good deal on it.....but then again, what do I know?

Thanks George Kay! I now live in Dallas, Texas. But I have heard alot about your great service to the other great forums from such as the TyrosWorld Group and the PSR Styles/Songs Group. In fact I think you did one of the first few reviews of the tyros before it came out. Thanks for all your great reviews. But in the mean time, I am still experiment around to see wich board should I get in the coming months. As a matter of fact, I just found out about the Ketron SD1 from this forum this past week when I joint the group. It sounds to me like a great keyboard with all the feature it has. I was wondering if and when use as an arranger, can one build an accompaniment from the music libraries out there such as music loops/phrases available out on the market? Thanks George and you all great people on this forum. Thanks and aloha!
