Has anyone ever played any of these digitals? Music123 has one that is 88 weighted keys, with the stand and pedal for only $399.00 That has to be the cheapest 88 key weighted digital I have ever seen.. Anyone know how it sounds and plays?

I don't think you are seeing it correctly. It's probably $3399. Do you have the link ?

Ohhhhh I saw it right It's only $399. It lists for $1000... Like I said it's the cheapest digital I've ever seen.. Just go to www.music123.com I'm sure it will be on the first page or one of the first ones on the digital section.......

I don't see this either. What model number are you looking at? The Valdesta Concerto 1000 is $3,999.99. The cheapest model is the 700 at $999.99. Keep saving for the PSR2100 or the next Roland.
Just curious. Do you ever use the styles on your arranger?

WOW! Maybe it is just a catalog special. I looked at the website and didn't see it there either. I can't remember the model number off hand either.. The list price on the thing was only $999.00 From the picture it looked like a nice little digital. How it plays, feels and sounds is another thing.. Starkeeper, yes I do use the styles, but I'm a little picky I guess.. I buy arrangers not for the onboard styles, but for the ability to create user styles. I like the arranger function, and the ability to use it with custom styles.. Every so often I might use a bass line or another track from a stlye, but I generally record my own.

I can't even find the company website. Valdesta must be made by another company and marketed under a different name.

I just had a thought... Now that I look closer at them it seems they're actually "Viscount" digitals... Hmmmmm I wonder if Viscount had changed to Valdesta...

I called MUSIC123 and they are in fact Viscount Piano's. They don't have any in stock (surprise, surprise) but they are on Backorder with no delivery date and not guaranteed for Christmas delivery.

The Viscount website does not mention the Valdesta line or the GX5. But I did learn Viscount owns Oberheim which I didn't know! :-)

Keep digging, I'm sure we'll uncover the real truth here and hopefully a great deal as well!!!

A few years ago I got talked into buying a couple of inexpensive Viscount digital pianos. They arrived box poorly, dented, scratched and I still plugged one in to try it out and after hearing it, I packed them up, called the company and returned them not wishing any replacements. DIDN'T LIKE THEM!
I would be surprised if they were much better now. Maybe they learned from their mistakes!

Sometimes you get what you pay for, other times you get a Roland . Just kidding. I love my Roland, anxious to hear the EXR-5.
SqueakD, If you have created your own styles, I would love to hear them. I love your drumming, which reminds me of a question. I will open a new thread.
