Anticipated for the end of Oct., but the Korg rep here says it may be end of November instead.
But I'm not sure he knows any more than we do.

I was floored when I read the weight spec. It's under 30 lbs! With speakers yet!! I hope that's not a typo.

Sounds like Korg is back in the game with its new Pa800. It has a GREAT feature list and we even get sounds from the OASYS too!

One bummer though is it only has 61 keys. Will a 76 key version be available down the road? I hope so.

Best regards,
Mike

The PA1X comes in 2 flavours, 61 notes with speakers or 76 notes without speakers, so Korg may do the same with the PA 800.
BTW Most of the new features in the PA800 will be incorporated into the PA1X in the December OS update.
Enjoy whatever you play

I'm NOT looking forward to re-learning the Korg OS. Yamaha and Roland are both very easy.
Ketron SD1 is pretty odd, but the Midjay is great.

Just can't resist the thought of yet another arranger to compare whatever you are playing with, eh, Donny? So perhaps you keep telling yourself how good your PSR is, the voices will go away?

One free membership to GLA (Gear Lust Anonymous) for dnj........ (you have to pick it up at George Kaye's, though!)

Love the one you're with.........

I always liked the arranger section and chord system of the Korg, IMHO. Maybe I'd be interested in the PA800. And what's the price? My 2k is fine, but when you're an addict, like most of us, the next big thing is worth a good look. Maybe if I sold my 2 X5D's... uhm

Diki, this is what we do. Do you have a question?

Donny: Let us know if you find a dealer in the Philadelphia area that has one to demo.

For the Philadelphia area contingency, I visited with Benny Cintioli yesterday and asked Ronny, the keyboard person, about the PA800. He was going to call the Korg regional rep and get me details - price, availability etc. He doesn't expect that they will have one until December. I'm considering selling my PA1XPro and getting the PA800 just because of the weight difference. It has pretty much the same features as the PRO but I know I'll miss the sliders. Of late, I've been using the PA60 when I need a keyboard because it's easy to haul to gigs, but it's sitting in Rusty's shop as of yesterday with a possible need for a mother board replacement. I've seen a couple of on line stores offering the 800 for $2,699.00 with a December delivery.
Ciao,
Jerry
