Cascio has just announced a new keyboard. It will be 76 keys, 256-note Polyphony, Vocal Harmony, built-in lights, music rack and mic stand, hi-fidelity speakers facing both front and back. The back-facing speakers are 20 watts each and the front-facing ones are 120 watts each. It has two full 64-track sequencers, accepts memory cards of to 10-gigs (included), and the styles and voices are all in RAM memory and can be replaced or edited and stored.
It will play WAV files, CD's, and DVDs and the Vocal Processor can be set to exactly emulate Elvis, James Brown, the Beatles, Backstreet Boys and Whitney Houston.
It has 2000 Registration memories and will read Yamaha's Music finder files. It also plays styles from Yamaha, Korg, Ketron, Roland and GEM perfectly without editing.
It comes with your choice of wheels or joystick and has 6-pedal footswitch (included). The power supply is built in and automatically adjusts to any voltage. Or it can operate for 7 hours on three AA batteries with no loss of fidelity.
Retail prices is $995., including shipping and 5-year full replacement warranty.
Best of all it comes with a removeable Velcro strip on which you can stick on letters with your own name. The strip covers the Cascio logo.
Total weight is eleven pounds.
I'm taking orders now. Cash in advance only.
Woops I forgot to wait until April 1st to post this.

Tom, you are misinformed--Britney is not a singer.

Hmmm. No mention of Speedy Mouse or Karaoke Girl. I can't believe they would leave them out.

You almost had me on that one....... Geez one can only imagine a Casio with all that... I think it'll be some time before they attempt to top the MZ-2000

Didn't the MZ-2000 have a utility that converted various styles? (I'm not joking).
The other post re the new Korg is suspicious. Eleven people have placed orders for a crate that says Korg on it. Hmmm. I'm way too cautious for that one.
I bought my PSR550 from eBay, but only because the dealer was in Toronto and I picked it up personally (and yea I opened up the box first to make sure it wasn't filled with bricks).

Starkeeper,
Yeah, the Casio MZ-2000 could convert styles from several makers.. I'm not sure on which ones, but I think Roland and Technics were included.. The MZ-2000 was a great move for Casio, and I'd love to see them do something beyond the MZ-2000

DonM,
That was good. I liked the energy efficiency of the unit "operate for 7 hours on three AA batteries with no loss of fidelity."

My house runs on batteries but they weigh about 113 lbs. each. I think this unit is a lot more efficient.

I also liked the spelling of the "Cascio".

I guess I'm sold. But then I'm very gullible. I even believe political commercials on TV!

I can use it to perform on the new bridge I just purchased in Brooklyn.
