ARJ lives 3 miles from the geographical center of the "lower peninsula" of Michigan, that beautiful "Water Wonderland." Alma, Michigan, is the place to be, if you are a guy like me. Outdoorsman is the name of the game around here. Best wishes to all. ARJ

I'm yet another Phoenician. Actually I live in Scottsdale but the climate is about the same as Phoenix. We're only about 8 miles away!

What a great idea it was to ask where we live!
I now have a more intimate understanding of the friends who make up this forum.
It seems that most of the members are in USA but I can live with that!
I am from Rotherham in Yorkshire,England and have lived here for all of my 70 years. Don't want to live anywhere else, and I bet most of us have the same opinion about our birthplace.
We have here in UK a lot of admiration for the USA because you brought us (mainly through the Film Industry)a wonderment of the American life and customs and I for one have appreciated the music and entertainment you brought us.
To hear a song titled "I left my heart in San Fransisco" comes easily to our ears but I wonder if a song titled " I left my Heart in Rotherham" would have the same pzazz?
Anyway, Rotherham to me is the place where I feel at home in spite of the weather.
(But secretly, I would love the opportunity of living for a while in San Fransisco!)
cheers
Eddie

I agree with Eddie from Rotherham. Great to see where everyone is from and know we all share the same interests.

Home for me is in S. Florida on the East Coast near West Palm Beach. The area is nick-named "The Treasure Coast" in recognition of all the treasure found on sunken ships off our shoreline. And, no, I have never found any.

It's about 45 km southwest of Hoogeveen (where Sander lives).
Well I lived here about my entire live.
And still enjoy living in this place.
BTW: Great idea to ask where everyone lives

As posted earlier "Don't want to live anywhere else, and I bet most of us have the same opinion about our birthplace."

It's great to see where everyone lives, and that someone on the forum is older than myself. There is, however, a place where I've been trying to convince my wife to move for the past quarter century--the lower Florida Keys. She just left to go to work and drove 12 miles through a mix of freezing rain, snow and sleet. By the time she will be ready to return home, the temperature will be in the mid 20s, the snow will be a couple inches deeper and believe me when I say she will not be in a good mood.

I'm still trying to convince her that snow white sand, palm trees, turquoise colored water, great fishing and me playing Jimmy Buffer music in a bar is the only way to live. This is especially true when formal attire is new boat shoes or sandles, clean shorts, a Hawiaan shirt and sun glasses. Oh Yeah!
