Let me get this right....The SMF sounded dated? The illustration was to show "Drums and bass" directly from the G1000 without external devices..They could have, but were not "TWEAKED"..and the SMF was nothing special, or was the song, "my cup of tea"..

Yo Donny, If it actually exists, the Genesys XP may be the answer to our needs. I have yet to see or hear it. Still waiting for the Philly area dealer to get it so we can have a look and listen. You may be right - there really may not be an XP. Ciao, Jerry

Alright Guys and Gals...here is a dated medley, on a dated keyboard , "played" by a dated player....It was done by the seat of my pants, with no idea what I was going to do.."Live..in your face"...with realtime organ, electric piano and some manual bass...Live/no cuts.. I can't really explain why I rather play the G1000 over the others....maybe you can figure it out and tell me. http://s64.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2VJPNLP5ZXB2Q3P233GXY4J9WH

Fran, that was really good. I didn't know you could play like that! DonM
Yo, Fran way to go!! Nothing wrong with those tunes. Dated, nah not in my opinion. I love those songs some of my favorites and you've done a great job with them! Maybe somewhere along the road I crossed the line and now have arrived at old geezer status, so maybe I don't know that I don't know. Anyway thanks for posting.

Actually, the G1000 is dated[1998]..
Yes I was talking about drums on G1k,you posted to compare with T2 drums .GM/Gs SC88 pro board has dated sounds compared to today's arrangers including new Rolands .
A player can make a old KB sound good, but it doesn't mean no new KB/newer improved/more realistic sounds needed.Does it?

Fran your so right .....the average audience has no clue as to what we are doing on stage technically.......they are mostly judging your performance with their ears & eyes either they like it or not.......how we do it they can only assume & most times they are wrong unless it is shown & explained in detail. There is allot involved to absorb & they have no need to either.
