Sounds like a song. If you have a good midi, please send to me or post a link. My email is in my profile. My midi searches have thus far not improved on what midi's I have.

That's Alright (Elvis, Marty Robbins also did it) -- mine is just not good midi.

I Gotta Get Drunk (Willie & George) -- mine is only 1:28; if there is a longer one, that would be better. Or is the song that short?

Move It On Over (Hank) -- mine has a bass note that sounds dissonant, sounds wrong. In every verse.

Jambalaya (Hank) -- mine has no intro and it would easier for me to play guitar if I have a little bit of lead time after hitting the start button.

Thanks!

Bill,

Check out www.musicrobot.com and you may find most of them there.

Bill, easy enough to put the 2K in Quick Record and make 'em yourself!

Well, yeah, I could do it and I might have to do it. But I am short on time for Saturday gig, plus, some midi's I come across are really good. Every once in awhile you find a terrific one. Those I posted about have the problems I mentioned, I thought maybe somebody might have a good one. Musicrobot gives hits but I haven't found any that are better than what I have.

There is a Yamaha style, I think it's Cowboy Country, that has an appropriate intro and beat, if you wind up having to roll your own.

Thanks for trying Hank!

Ones you sent...

I Gotta Get Drunk -- this is the same as one I have, so, I guess the song really is only 1:28.

That's Alright -- I don't care for this one either.

Move It On Over -- same as one I have, with that weird bass note in each verse.

Jambalaya -- It does have an intro but it's not authentic. I don't care for this midi too much either.

So, I'm still looking for these last three.

Thanks again.

Bill, you might want to consider using a software sequencer to monify your MIDIs. There aren't many midis that sound all that great, even the ones you purchase. I won't use a midi unless it sounds really good... and that's usually after spending some time with it in PowerTracks. Doesn't take that much time and well worth it, IMO.

Bill ... does the PSR2000 have midi editing functions? ... like can you 'cut & paste' the midi using the kb ... with my kn6000 I've often lengthened a midi file to make it the length I need ...

You guys must be buying SMF's off novice..Buy Tune1000, Trycho, or Hands on Music...they don't have a klunker in their libraries.

Bill if you already no the songs, just play them, that way they won't stand out from the rest of your material..

When I get a chance,I will see what I have to help you out.

Thanks Bernie, that MOVE IT ON OVER .kar file is fine and dandy. Very good!

If I don't find a good midi (with a brief intro) for JAMBALAYA and also a decent midi for THAT'S ALRIGHT (MAMA), I'll record them myself.

Actually, I've always done That's Alright on acoustic guitar, just a certain strumming pattern and I might not be able to find a style (or a midi) that is what I want but I'm certainly open! The way I play it kinda like Marty Robbins did it.
