Gary,

I remember you having the and recommending the RocknRoller gig Cart. I'm interested in getting this. Which model number did you get RR10? And how much did you spend.

Regards,
Al

I purchased the R-10 from Zounds for $149, plus $9 postage and handling. They shipped the same day and it arrived two days later. I modified mine somewhat by drilling an additional stop hole about 6 inches below the fully extended stop hole. I did this to lock the cart in place six inches shy of being fully extended. It's one of the best investments ever for OMB performers.

That's a great price. I was looking at the R6 (mini), but it looks like it's going to be too small to cart around my 2 speakers, 2 keyboards, powered mixer, wire bag, seat, power regulator, and two sets of lights.

The R10 appears to be about 10 inches longer which would support a 76 key keyboard much better.

Why did you install that extra stop in the extension? Do you use this like a memory lock?

I remember you posted pictures of your equipment on the cart, but I think they perished during the server crash. If you think of it, could you post those picture again.

Thanks for your invaluable help.

Mine is $39.00 from Sam's Club. Looks much the same as the Rn'R.

Yes, it's a memory lock that uses a spring-loaded detent pin. At the fully extended length, it's a bit too long for my useage. The photo below is the cart, fully loaded, but still can be extended another six inches.

Don, I had a $39 cart from Sam's Club as well, but it did not have balloon tires, wheel lock, staircase skids and did not fold up as tight as the R&R. I gave it to my son for transporting stuff to his shed and for light loads he says it's fine.

Gary,

Just wanted to say thank you and let you know your opinion means a lot to me and I just won a bid on Ebay for the RocknRoller R10. The winning bid was $127.50, but I have to pay $20.00 shipping. Still think it's a bargain.

Thanks again for the picture and the advice!!!

Heck if I don't use it for gigging, I'll use it to take the recycle out to the street on garbage night!!!! LOL

Regards
Al

I also use the R&R #R10......IMO it can't be beat & is a "Must Have" for a Giging Musician.

Mine does have balloon tires. In fact they seem to be larger than yours. However, it doesn't fold as much, and yours seems to extend a little longer. For now, though, mine works just fine. I'll show it to you in January!!!
