I need some help, my Forum friends. I have been asked to do a weekly solo act where I will be doing a "tribute", doing strictly songs from a certain pop artist's repetoire, all on my PSR2000. I have searched the internet for his songs, but continuously seem to find the same ones over and over. Is there any place/person that would record midi's for me based on an artist's catalog of songs? Please advise and, as always, thanks!

I'm looking for all things Barry Manilow. All I keep finding is Copa, Mandy, Can't Smile Without You, over and over again! I need more of his songs. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Tune1000 sells collection sets for most artists. The Manilo disk is great - note for note arrangements, and embedded lyrics too.

Tony,

It's still in the planning stages since I need more material, but I will definitely advise when it happens. I need more of his tunes, though. I already have Copa, Even Now, Can't Smile Without You, Mandy, etc. But, I need a lot more, especially upbeat songs. He has TONS of ballads, but the up stuff seems harder to find. Still in search of.....

Speaking of midi songs, it seems that there's a big difference in quality. Has anyone made comparisons between the several comm'l venders (MidiHits, TranTraks, etc.) and online "freebees"? Whatever you have can always be tweeked, or in some cases, almost completely rebuilt, but it would be good to know of the most comprehensive quality source of midis. Anybody found a source to be especially good... or, not-so-good?

Thanks to Roel for sending me a couple of Manilow tunes I didn't have. I'm still looking for some others, though. "Daybreak", "Ready To Take A Chance Again", "The Old Songs", basically any upbeat tunes by him.

For great midi files, MP3 backing tracks and cd audio tracks (Genesys plays both superbly and you can easily play the lead part live over the top) check out a very good freind of mine site. It's www.songgalaxy.com
His prices are excellent, the quality is spot on and the songs all of a demo so you can hear what you are getting before purchasing. On line ordering is also easy with secure payments.
Just mention Craig told you about the site please.
