Vincent, I've used the Z-5500 system for since last fall and there have been times when I have fired two guitars, a keyboard and a pair or mics through the system all at one itme. The sounds were excellent for an audience of up to 125. The Z-5300 is about half as powerful, but from the few folks I have heard from, they're using the system with audiences to 75 or 80 people and reported excellent results. The key to success with any sound system is having a good, balanced mix through the mixer. That means someone has to be the person solely in charge of the volume levels--all the volume levels. If changes are to be made to accommodate crowd noise, it should only be done using the master volume only--not individual volumes. If you have not purchased the system yet, I highly recommend buying from a retailer that has a liberal return policy. Try it out with your group in a large venue, get someone to listen to a short performance, then make up your minds whether or not it does the job at hand. If not take it back for a full refund. Good Luck, Gary ------------------ Travlin' Easy

When I run out of new projects, I think I'll buy a Z-5300 and create a new system from it, one that will be specifically for small, nursing home and assisted living jobs. At that price, for a system with that much power, it's gonna' be tough to beat. I'll post photos when I get around to nearing completion.
Cheers,
Gary

I purchased the Z560's - couldn't pass up the price, and a liberal return policy, if needed. I think i paid 56.00 = should be plenty for me right now, as i'm starting small, if by chance a larger sound is needed, i still have my 500W peaveys if I need them. I'm sure down the road i'll be purchasing the 5500's, and like gary, i'll have both sets then, to use as needed. I'm sure i'll be posting when they arrive, and we've scoped them out.

Thanks for the kudos Stephen, Nope--I was never an engineer of any kind, but I've always been blessed with a great deal of crativity (Which my wife refers to as insanity) and the ability to work with my hands. Should be a fun project and with luck I hope to have it completed within the next few weeks, before the next nursing home job. Cheers, Gary ------------------ Travlin' Easy
