Thanks for the heads up Tony!

It is always a good idea to keep your Anti-Virus .dat files up to date on your AV program. Keeping your Anti Virus updated regularly is definitely the first line of defense against Viruses, Worms, and other Malware. If you don't have an AV program - get one. If you have one, keep it updated on a regular basis. Many AV programs update themselves automatically like the newer versions of Norton Anti-Virus.

AVG makes a free version (a lite version) of their AV software. The nice thing about AVG is the updates are free for life. With Norton you get free updates for a year with the purchase of their AV software but after a year you need to renew the subscription at a cost to continue to be able to update it. The subscriptions are only good for a year too.

Best regards,
Mike

Yes I have had AVG (Grisoft) for a couple of years now after getting rid of Norton.
AVG have just updated to version 7 a couple of days ago so if you already have AVG, make sure you update now.
cheers
By the way, I was pleased to see reference to www.theregister.co.uk which I have subscribed to for a long time now. I can recommend it to all for its updating of virtually everything happening in the computer world.
