I think that Leigh Wilbraham is doing a great job with jazzhoves.com. It is the only blog I know about that concentrates on arranger keyboards and organs. As I see it is clearly more a work of passion than a commercial venture.

The only things that are for sale on jazzhoves.com are the organs and keyboards in the free classified ads. I very much doubt that Leigh is making any money on this

$3,100 YIKES!!!!!!!!!!! Holy Mary Mother of Good Crap How in the hell is a $3,100 keyboard considered "Mid-Range". If the street price is anything close to that and Yamaha doesn't up the "construction and durability" of the unit, then I say "thumbs down". A board with that price tag better be built 100 times more solid than the current PSR-3000.

I hope it's as Ian stated and that someone got the price mixed up because whew that's way too expensive for a mid-range arranger.

Squeak the 3k has proven itself 10x over in durability....Ive been gigging with one since its inception 3yrs....don't be fooled....as far as price.....for technology, versatility & sound its worth far beyond its list price for sure!

How many power adapters did ya go through Donny I know 3 people off the top of my head who are already having problems with the buttons (same problem the PSR-2000/2100) had with cheap contacts. These aren't Zoner's either, and they gig with their 3000's.

Remember that UK prices include 17.5% VAT, so $2600 would be a more realistic conversion, but I agree that it still sounds expensive compared to th PSR-3000.

Squeak, you can be almost certain that the price will be roughly the same as the 3k.

I use a 3k and it is by far the best "bang for the buck" of ANY arranger out there.

Mine is a early production model I used for demos...it's played 4-5 hours or more everyday...it's been a model citizen.

I'm looking forward to the new one with glee.

It would only make sense for the price to be closer to the current model (PSR-3000). It would seem like Yammie would be shooting themselves in the foot placing the S900 closer to the T2's price range.
