My experience in this area is that I get rid of nearly all reverb. This makes the room you play in come alive, and you get the rooms reverb. This makes the styles and files sound much more live. When you listen to a band in a live pub or venue there's hardly any reverb on especially drums and bass. This makes it sound tight and precise. My recommendation for tweakin is to minimize the reverb to maximum extent possible.
