Just curious, I had the G70 back before the came out with versions..

Yes! The styles are better balanced as the individual parts seem to be eq'd better.
Overall sound seems to be better.
Some styles seem to be reworked.
I've had it a while, and don't remember all the changes, but it was a general overall improvement.

I never played a G1000, but I had a G800. There is no comparison, the G70 is far better.

Frankie, I love the G1000 and will not part with it...but the G70 is much better overall, besides it offers the VK organ and the best Vocal harmonizer...

There are a few things that the G1000 has the edge over the G70 and any other keyboard..that is why I will keep it, but any replacement for me ..will be the G70..

The G70 V3 OS adds some VERY significant improvements in OOTB sound of the G70, plus a fix for the OTS system that makes it now just about perfect (functionally, even if you disagree with the factory choices). The OTS is now linked to the Style, NOT the UPS and Custom styles. And works for Internal AND Externally stored Styles.

Plus you now have a 3 band parametric EQ on each and every Part (Style, Keyboard AND SMF) and the same EQ for each and every drum within the chosen Drumkit. So now you can make the G70 sound almost any way you want.

Add in a few more OS improvements (Break/Mute to Footswitch or FC-7, for instance) and it adds up to a VERY worthy addition to the G70. Even so-called 'closed' system arrangers sometimes get OS improvements that almost turn them into new arrangers.....

A huge improvement....... check it out for yourself.
