Thanks for the demo's JJ. I notice an improvement in the guitar sounds on some of the PA1x styles I've heard from different demos. I would gather that is because of the new layered guitar patches. The rest of it to me sounds pretty close to the PA80, which I have and still enjoy very much.

Thanks also for your comments. Yes you're right. I never played on a PA 60/80 , but it sames that the styles are for the most coming from this KB . Remember it was the same thing with SD1 in the beginning (styles from the X1) and ...with the Tyros (styles from the 9000 Pro) . I have an information from Korg France that with the new release they will add new styles ..Good news, isn't ?

I got hooked on the blues when I statrted listening to some of the tunes done by Robin Trower and a few of the other rock bands that would do songs in that genre, so "Power" blues would be my genre of choice. Later on I also got into more traditional blues music, and I still like it.

Today, in the live act, we focus primarily on the blues. My own work is geared more toward classic progressive and electronic rack, with a sprinklig of blues and jazz / jazz fusion.

It will be interesting for me to give the PA1x a demo if I can find one to try near me. I don't think I'll be tempted to upgrade, because I don't need an arranger for studio work, and I'm happy with the current live setup, but I'm sure the PA1x sounds great.

Haven't gone to Houston yet. I will either go next Monday, or wait until after NAMM. I think Vince will leave for NAMM Tuesday or Wednesday. At any rate, I won't buy anything for a while, certainly until after the NAMM show.
