* vh types/settings
* split point preferences
* pre-recording auto accomp tracks
* registration setups & methods
* song repetoire organization/retrieval
* controllers: pitch bend/ mod wheel activation in live performance
* remote footpedal assignment

2) Listening to fellow sz member produced arranger keyboard performed/recorded songs
* offering feedback & advice (when solicited)
* participating in a shared group 'song rec' project ie:
- selecting a popular song known by all and then everyone rec & submit their personal rendition of it.
- selecting a specific auto accomp STYLE GENRE, and everyone rec & submit a song utilizing it.

3) Sharing/reading reviews & opinions on the latest arranger keyboard models
* candid personal views after having had to opportunity to see, play, or hear specific arranger keyboard models

4) Sharing gig experiences & expolits (including pic)
* aka: diary of a gigging arranger kb musician

5) General Music Tips/Advice/Exchange

I actually think the answer should be, "all of the above". That's what makes this board great ( at times ).

2) 3) and 4)

I wish there were less topics like "Your dreams about Tyros 3 or PSR 3100"

I just hope the members of this forum would participate in a more positive way, I appreciate the start topic by Scott, I also have done some a few days ago, but I guess the "other" R vs Y was hot, and I had no much feedback.
What is important is the music you make and keep the audiences happy should matter more.

So, keep the good work Scott.!!
Soon I'be sending you some stuff.

Scott ... actually, all of the above ... and I really didn't mind ALL of the X vs. Y stuff ... I think it is great that someone takes a lot of pride in their kb, talent, etc. and is willing to 'explain' it (they shouldn't feel a need to 'defend' it) ... It's too bad that sometimes the stuff starts getting personal ...
BUT ... I hope we can continue to see discussions about the topics Scott listed, and even some "this is how it sounds on my kb" ...

I'd like to hear more from people using Arrangers with software recording packages like Cubase and Sonar, their ways of working, etc.

Apart from everything mentioned, I also enjoy sound 'shoot-outs' where people record the same exact midi file with all their different instruments.

Scott:

Like KBRKR, I tend to lean toward "all of the above", however, the humor and human interest items are also of great benefit.

To my way of thinking, this is the absolute best "board" on the net. Great advice, great camaraderie and sometimes, great unhapiness. I guess that side of things just goes with living and dealing with other folks.

As always, thanks to you and the other old timers on this board for your generous time and patience with the rest of us.

I just like to read everything, including the flame-wars (funnier than most web humor sites!), and the member's self-posted music (often for the same reason!).........

I think direct comparisons between playback of different arrangers is VERY informative, and often the only way to get a little reality into the 'mine is better than yours' threads.

Just keep it ALL coming......... (and let Nigel sort it out!)

Hi Jorgen,
we now have a synthzone software arranger/ softsynth forum.

Some of your style editing software etc may also be of interest to realtime arranger software users like Livestyler & OMB users.

best wishes
Rikki

Hi Rikki

I am aware of the a synthzone software arranger/ softsynth forum.

But maybe some members here have additional ideas to software development.

Jørgen
