I was at musiciansfriend today and I saw they are still trying to sell the PSR-8000 for over $2,300.00! Are they really trying to get this price or is this a misprint? I truly feel for anyone who buys this board at that price...... Every store I've know that has them (even new) sell them for $1,000 or just a little over that.

I emailed them a question about this very thing several months ago and got a real snotty reply!

You just ask them (phone) if they'll match or beat another stores advertised price. This usually works with all the major distributors.
