Anyone else like this Nora Jones tune "Don't Know Why" ? I can't stop singing it. It has that familiar, heard it before sound, but still shows a freshness to it. I just love it. Great tune for early in the night ... not too slow, but not a fast tune either. Nice easy eight beat - simple piano & bass arrangement will work wonders on it. Look it up ..... I hope you like it.

I also like her a lot. Actually the whole CD that includes this song is terrific. She gave a concert very recently in Portugal and we were lucky to see it integraly in one of the TV channels. The concert had a very intimate atmosphere; she played both a Rhodes and an acoustic piano. Like UD says: very simple arrangements, but a musical delight...

Great song, great voice. The first time I heard her she reminded me of Carol King... she doesn't really sound like her, but has the same kind of smooth and easy feel.
I saw her in Annaheim for the Elton John NAMM show . Great show I might add !
She was probably one of the best acts . Great Chords . Jewel , Ray Charles , Bruce Hornsby , Take Six to name a few other acts to pay tribute. Elton tried to play the organ but ........

Piked up her CD several months ago and enjoy listening to it, nice and easy! Come Away With Me and Cold Cold Heart are also very good. I also think she is a very atractive young women! It is a pleasure to see YOUNG people embracing this style of music!!
Might I also suggest another up and comer in the Jazz vain - Joyce Cooling. She was voted best new Jazz artist. She has some dynamite stuff. Between her and Jeff Kashiwa, some of the best new Jazz artists around -- if you like Jazz.

...I wondered about that, but this is the first I've seen the name in print. She's attractive too. Maybe one of the Beatles is her REAL father ! Remember, they all studied with Ravi ! The 60's were wild times, ya know !( I've heard anyway .... )
