HI RIKKI,
I got 4 cards, a 10 day Motorhome trip, a great dinner, and an IOU for whatever I want to buy this weekend.
I am thinking a 300 GIG external harddrive with backup software would be handy for the 2 desktops and 2 laptops we use here at home.
What do you hope to get?

that's a pretty good birthday.

As for me , I'll have to wait & see how generous hubby's feeling.
My 2 year old laptop got fried, a few weeks back, so currently I'm stuck with using my 6 year old win 98 laptop. Bit of a come down in performance, but, better than nothing. If it's not repairable, maybe a new laptop.

I collected my IOU yesterday for a 300 Gig Seagate external Hard drive with push button back up.
I am told it will back up all 4 of our computers, 2 desktop and 2 laptop if they have different names just moving it from one computer to the other and push the buton. I have to plug it into firewire and three of these computers are new and have firewire ports. Jann's old dog has win 98 Se and neither usb or firewire. Maybe I can add a firewire pci card into it. Anybody know?

If the computer has a spare PCI Slot, the computer is above the minimum requirement for the firewire card, and the card has a 98se driver then yes, a Firewire card can be fitted.

Thanks Bill, I shall go shopping then for a card for old dependable. Maybe I will get the drivers with the card or can get them from MS.
