no, e60 is pretty much all you get when you buy it. there is no room for any hardware upgrade.
the os is upgradable, but leave that aside, won t help with a vocal harmonizer.
now, is just too bad that this e series, that could've been a major step forward for roland turns into a such difficult and frustrating experience, even before hiting the markets....
not clever thing to do, roland!
in the meanwhile, yamaha i am sure cooks something in the bakery... hopefully a 76 keys cookie... hehe, that would be great, to have several 76 keys models to choose from...

I was having the same thoughts. Is Roland going bankrupt. They pushed the G70 out the door before it was ready. Sounds like they were desperate for cash. When a company focuses on cash instead of their customers, they get in trouble.
No Vocal harmonizer and no organ flutes. How will it compete with the ole PSR3000 or with the new PSR3100?

There are some rumours about Roland's financial troubles, but they are probably exaggerations.

Still, I look at Technics, who made exceptional instruments and were a major force in keyboards...they are now a defunct company.

I sincerely hope Roland remains in the game....competition is what forces the others to improve their product.

Do you think that users choosed PSR3000 mainly because it has vocal harmonizer and organ flutes?
One could say that E-50 will have some features (MakeUp Tools, Cover, Guitar Mode, etc.) that PSR doesn't have.
There is a lot of things on arranger keyboards and each user has its own needings and preferences.
I think that E-50 will have its winning points and its market, against or beside PSRs.

Roland are going to have problems with the G70 being MI and the rest being CK......

CK dealers typically discount FAR less than the MI division, so I would expect to see G70s in around the $2800 range and the E80 at around $4200 plus.

Now the E80 is a better sounding keyboard than the G70, but NOT $1400+ better.....

Roland got some nerve pricing the E80 at $700 MORE than a T2's MSRP..... no sampler, no HD recording, etc., etc..

You know me, I love my G70, but Roland's marketing division got their heads up their....... well, you know......
