Doggone it, two bowls, one tonight and one tomorrow night and I think they are both on ABC. No cable here. CBS and NBC are crystal clear. We have one of the Radio Shack rabbit ear thingies that is powered and has a dial knob. I got it powered up and tuned in months ago and it improved bigtime. Brother had been watching trash for a long time! Just wonder if there is anything I can do to improve ABC. I guess they don't have a station in this city. Beats me. What a drag. I've tried twiddling it every way I know.
Is an outdoor antenna an option? If not, try to get your rabbit ears up as high as possible. Also, try the rabbit ears in other locations, close to a window, etc.

Closer to a window might be an option. That's the type of tip I need, since this is timely just for tonight and tomorrow night. I don't have time to do anything else.
One more thing. Try to find out the direction of the broadcast antenna for the station one want to receive. Then move your rabbit ears as far as you can toward the broadcast antenna, preferably in front of a window. The idea is have the transmitted signal from the broadcast antenna go through as few structural elements (walls) as possible. Good luck!

I called Radio Shack and he said ABC should come in. Maybe the antenna thing is bad. Gary, this IS an amplifier gizmo.
Now, we twiddled it every which way and found a spot where if I stand there and hold each antennae, it's a great pic. I let go, there goes the pic. Is my body becoming an extended antennae? Anything I could do? The game is on.
Crap. Time is short. Time for desperate measures...I'm talking tin foil. No joke. Get some tin foil, roll it around your antenna to extend the length or shape. Also, try reducing the gain of your amplified rabbit ears.

It called for cajun engineering. I got an aluminum dip net from the garage. One big enough for sharks. No kidding. It's like 12 feet long. I sit in my recliner and as long as I hold the dip net to touch the antennae, I have a picture. My arm sure is tired. Meanwhile, my brother lies there like a fat hog on the couch, enjoying the game.
