Let's see if this works.
These photos were taken Sunday at ArkLaTex Speedway in North Louisiana.
I'm the one in the Cowboy Hat. Semilive Music (Bill Pittman) is the old, ugly guy. http://207.150.221.97/donmason/temp%20photos/

O.K. I just checked and the links work for me.
You will see the SD1/Bose setup. You will see people sitting directly in front of the "stick" and yet the people in the Swap Meet outside, behind and below could still hear clearly. The photos were taken before the majority of the crowds arrived, but the sound remained constant even after it filled up with people.

Now DonM, let's discuss that cowboy hat a minute. I don't think that hat really classifies as a cowboy hat. It looks more like a Tyrolian Sheep herders hat or something? When I think of a cowboy hat, I think of some cool Rattlesnake band wrapped around the dome.

Just kidding of course.

Great pics, looks like you have a nice setup there.

I hadn't worn that hat in a long time, but it did provide a little shade from the sun!

Great pictures Don. It must have been cold there. You are sitting next to a stove pipe.

If you had SEEN the girls there, you would WANT to keep them away. One of them tried to get Bill to dance, but she would have crushed him.
He's only 6-4 and around 200 pounds.

Great photos, but did you notice there a "mouse" crawling around that SD-1?

I thought the PAS is only 7 feet (or so) tall?

Looks bigger in this pic.

I can see that I'm gonna' have to fly down and rig that custom wiring harness for you one day soon. And yes, Bill is exactly as described, but he has the biggest beer glass I've ever seen. A 55-gallon beer mug was just about right when I was young like him! Now it's a tall glass of Kickapoo Joy Juice.

Lookin' good mon'

Gary

I've been trying to find something to replace that Ultimate Support A-frame stand for nearly 20 years. I have 7 or 8 stands, but this one is great for what I need. It is extremely light, is expandable, completely adjustable, has mic boom, and very durable. I don't take it apart; I just fold it together and put it in my van.
I have another one just like it in the garage, but it has a shorter cross bar, in case I use a 61-note kb again.

Nice pictures Don. Looks like some nice kit you have there.

I know what you mean about the Ultimate support stands. I have one for my set up and I love it. Yours is a great size though - mine's a little too high and large.

What model is (was) that?

David.

What, No sun canopy accessory?

When playing outdoors, does the tier above the keyboard help block out sunlight?

I have a flat board cut to length to fit the top tier of my stand. It actually DOES shade the kb outside. Haven't used it in a while, but thanks for reminding me!

OK - cut to fit. That makes sense now. My rig looks just the one in the picture but your's seemed to look much lower. I'm guessing you must have cut it down.

Only trouble is I seem to have a problem finding any stock of the aframe. Most people seem to be into the Apex now.

Thanks for the info.

David.
