I plug my strat into the mike on my 9k and use the onboard effects, get about any sound you want. Dsp,delay,echo,reverb,fuzz etc etc. Its lots of fun to play the backing using quick record,(or midi) then play the lead and double parts/or/rhythm on the guitar, while playing back. I use one registration set up for the guitar for quick entry each time. (If you play something worth saving just hit memory and a vacant registration.) I get the same results as a friend of mine who earns his bread with a guitar and backing that takes him hours and hours to build from scratch). Of course he's much better, he plays at clubs all over Northern Nevada.

Any other geeter pickers, out there with a electric, that hasn't tried this, Try it, its a Hoot. **Note** (turn the mike volume down then bring it up, some guitar pick/ups are hot).....Pose

Hi Pose!, This is interesting. I'm a guitar player that uses backing tracks made on my psr2100. Do you mean that you make midi backing tracks on the keyboard and play the guitar thru the keyboard? I know how to record the tracks in the keyboard...but how do you record the real guitar? Does it save as midi? I haven't tried this so i'm not sure how to do this but it does sound like a time saver. Usually i'll record all tracks using the onboard 16 track recorder and not using live guitar. If you could give me the dummies version i'd appreciate it...lol

Yes, you can plug your guitar into the mic/line input jack and play along with your midi file backing tracks--piece of cake, lots of control and it really will sound great.

You cannot record the guitar sounds into the keyboard because it's going through the mic/line input, which is an annalog signal. However, you can connect the keyboard to your computer and record everything that comes out of the keyboard as a WAV file using the instructions I posted at PSR Tutorial.com and get excellent results.

This is just for live guitar playing using the keyboard for the midi backup. It lets you save the guitar settings in registration, so its easy to just plug and play. Pose

Lazy as I am, I left the Logitechs set up Saturday night, so I didn't have to move equipment for Wednesday and Thursday. When I got there Thursday night, the place was packed, standing room only, and noisy.
I thought I might be in trouble with this little "underpowered" p.a., so I cranked it up a little. Wasn't long before they told me it sounded great but TOO LOUD! No problem. I can endorse the Z2200 even more.
