Guess its about time to put up or shut up, a couple of members would like to see me join in. I've spent most of my time since getting the ty2, trying to figure out just what the hell this thing does, I'm slowly getting it bit by bit, but no expert just a novice and a guitar player trying to switch to keyboards. so I turned to the basic music I started with over 60 years ago and attempted to do a bit of fiddl'n for you.

This is a one shot, Live with a style. recorded to midi, then vocal added while transferring to wma on the ty2. Then to memory stick to computer, changed to MP3 and uploaded to Putfile.

Hope you find this to your liking...I just do play as you go and never play anything right or the same way twice, as you can see on a whim right in the middle of the mess I put a different song in there (you name it) Just because I was not sure where I was going next so grabbed that snippit until my brain got back in gear..He He http://media.putfile.com/Orangeblowwom-special

Yee haw Pose ! Great T2 performance of Orange Blossom Special, & with Wabash Cannonball thrown in for good measure. Pose, you've certainly captured the live feel of fiddlin' on the keyboard. Bravo! Question: Which specific Tyros2 Preset STYLE, or 3rd part STYLE, did you use?

I noticed the (repeating) 'train bell' sounding at the very end (during the song fadeout) Was this included in the auto accomp style's ENDING itself, or did you add this?

Looking forward to hearing more songs from you.

- Scott

Scotty:
The style is a preset "BLUEGRASS"

The bell at the end was played manually from the multipad "BIG BELLS"

THANKS FOR YOUR NICE COMMENTS.......pose

Hey:

Glad all you good buddies liked this here rendition of a great ol bluegrass tune.

I should have re/recorded it a couple of times and maybe got it down a little better, but usually loose the zest of the first time through, so just let the chips fall. I sometimes try to do a bluegrass acoustic in the middle of this, but have to wait for a good day, when these old hands can make those guitar runs (they are fast)

Glad everyone enjoyed and got their toes a tapp'n

Cousin Ken you're welcome to hang on to it. Do you want the file emailed to you?

Thank's Y'all

YO POSE,
WE got to get together and jam one of these fine days. I don't think we are that far apart on the map. I am in San Jose, and I am guessing you must be up around Alturas.
I sure do like your bluegrass. I have taken up playing it myself on the Tyros 2. Some fun

Bill:

Love to get together. We're by Susanville, just a few minutes from Nevada and Reno.

Maybe I should host a Jam for the NW players

I have room in my music room for a dozen players and can swell out into the shop garage on the side if needed.

I have room for a 2 or 3 Motorhomes but only have one full hookup but could scatter
out a few more and give water and power to those. Can accomodate 2 couples with private accomodations. Plus 2 Rv parks close by and about 50 lakes and streams to fish close by plus a casino Then there's Reno.

I have a fully outfitted stage in my musicroom, setup ready to play.

If you and anyone are interested let me know! Maybe we can get one going.

Anytime after the 16th of June. (we're in the middle of cleaning the place up) I'm retired and always available and ready to play music.

Email me or skype me (daapose)

But for the 2 of us anytime your're planning a trip up this way give a hollar. It's about 4+ hours from San Jose (we're from Martinez)
My wife loves to cook (she's good) and a avid Gardener It's sort of a poor mans Buchard Gardens around here...he he

We even pick up guests at the Reno airport.

YO POSE,
Wow, what a shack you must have up there on that high hill.
I think it would be a great place for a jam. How about it everybody? Let's start talking this up. You can plan a trip to Reno/Tahoe before or after the jam.
I haven't been to Susan's Ville for a long time but I sorta remember it was up high and beautiful country. I think we were trucking down or maybe up to Spokane on the Harley 74 electraglide on 395.
I guess the best route would be 80 to 395 and up??
I would rather go a different way. I ran 80 last year and that road near tore up my new motorhome and almost caused us a wreck too when a big deep pothole threw all 26,000 pounds of us clear across the freeway into the next lane that was fortunately empty, or we could have wiped out several cars and ourselves.
My wife gets three day weekends but that is a stretch for a three day. June 30th gives her 5 days off. July 30 we are headed up the coast to Canada.
Why don't you start a new post and see if anyone is interested in going up to your place for a Jam? Sounds like a good plan to me.
Bill
