Would someone advise me about a good arranger keyboard within the range of $1500.

Yamaha PSR3000 hands down, no contest, for $1500US I assume.
You should also demo the Roland EXR-7 with 76 keys at $1000, but listen with headphones or through a good amplifier, because the internal amp/speakers are bad. If you are like this unit, buy a Zilog Z2300 to go with it. All for under $1500U.S.
I find that the signal on my Roland EM-20 (especially the #1 piano) is very strong, unlike the Yamaha, which is very weak. I suspect, that the signal going to the amp (in the EXR-7) is too high, and this is why it sounds harsh, IMO only. This doesn't happen in the EXR-3/5

I read lots of posts and try out many of the keyboards personally. For that price range:

Yamaha PSR3000 without a doubt is the best in this price range. Best sounds, styles, mic harmonizer that can make you sing like a choir. The most logical keyboard layout that won't make you frustrated.

You can also get used keyboards like PSR2100 for a lot less money but not as good as above.

My best advise is to buy it at Guitar Center or any retailer near you where they have 30 days moneyback. You cannot afford to spend that kind of money without assurance that you can return it at no risk. By the 2nd week, you will know whether this keyboard is for you or not !

Psr 3000 has a quick and easy to use storage system with 2 options.
Smart media card and Usb connection to pen drive or extenal HD.
My option was for a 128mega Pen drive, dependable and fast to store and read files.

Hi SKG.
I myself am learning too but the 1 obvious difference that I know of is that the PSR9000 PRO has 76 keys and is heavier than the PSR3000 which has 61 keys.

I'm sure you will receive more details from others who actually play these.
