I've told you of my unfortunate accident to hand, but.... I also have exciting new GOOD changes recently in my life as well
3 weeks before the accident I had given notice to my employer. As of the 15th I have been officially retired. I did not mention this earlier because here I am with all the free time, a new board, and frustration that I can't really play due to hand.
OK, but that will pass in a few months and I will then be able to begin the good life of only playing music. (even though my job was rewarding)
Now I share even bigger happier news. The best news really.

On the 14th my soul-mate fiance of last 5 years, and I became husband and wife!
This was planned before accident and was to coincide with my retirement, as she now has me on her health insurance. I couldn't retire and be without insurance and she really wanted me to quit work badly due to other health issues. She is a wonderful, loving woman and takes only the best care of me.
We played down the wedding/marriage as she'd been married 3 times previously and marriage no longer had much meaning to her as long as we were happily together anyway.
But marriage changed her anyways as she now has a new glow about her.
I knew this would be a lengthy post when I got around to it which is why I selfishly put off telling you all. This typing with just my left hand index finger is killin me.
But there you have it. At least the general details.
I'd promised Taike I'd share this good news so...
Taike, I never make a promise I don't intend to keep.
Wishing you all all the happiness you can endure,
Jim

Donny, thank you for the sentiment - but in 100 years the only gig I would get would be part of the cast of Return of The Mummy. Maybe the star. All the material I would be doing would be public domain by then, tho.

You haven't seen me now, you don't want to see me in 100 years - neither does Heidi - scary! Everyone is still teasing her that she should have mummified all of me - not just my hand! You'd understand if you saw a picture.

Thank you Donny

Jim, it sounds that you have a very special lady there. I wish the best in happiness for both of you.

Keep this quote in mind. When mama is happy, everybodys happy.
Oh, so very true.

My best to you, John C.

John,
So true So true. But not just how the expression is meant. But because nothing makes me happier than making and keeping her happy. I don't always succeed but I think I'm getting better at it all the time.
I thank you and everyone for the well wishes,
Jim

Hi Jim AND Heidi,

Congratulations! Wow! I had no idea you'd tied the knot. In fact, I was still waiting for the upcoming wedding announcement.

I'm happy for you two. Once again...CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Taike
