Hi Everyone,
after a lot of thought I ended up buying a PSR1500. Was considering a Tyros 2, but the price was too high, couldn't jusify the expense.
My preffered dealers couldn't supply it, and the one store that did stock it, offered me $500 AUD discount on a $6,000AUD keyboard. No thank you.
Decided to get the PSR1500 ( managed a 30% discount on it from my local supplier) to tie me over till the replacement for the PSR3000 hits the shelves. Then I'll see whether it's worth upgrading.
Had considered one of the new inexpensive PSR e403's to tie me over, but I liked the idea of having multi pads again ,even though they're not exactly brilliant, compared to Technics pads.
Have to start doing some of our own haahaa,
Missed out on the extra Tyros 2 /Psr3000 styles, but at 4 times the price of my psr1500, the tyros wasn't worth it.
Value for money , it's a great little keyboard.
Strangely though,I put through my Tannoys & amp( which is what I use for my sd1 & soundfonts) and it sounded boomy & echoy, plugged it through my Clavinova CLP170 speakers, brilliant.

Congrats Rikki! You've got yourself a nice keyboard. To me, it reminded me of the way the PSR2000 sounded, which I thought was also outstanding.

As far as your Tannoy speakers. If you were in stereo it should sound good if your other stuff sounds good through them. Maybe an EQ adjust would fix that up for you.

Best
Scott

Hi Rikki. Congratulations on your new PSR1500 from the 'other' Scott (Yee) too. Hope you'll record something and share a song with us sometime. - Scott

Thank you Scott n' Scott.

I'll give it a try, but it sounds great thru my Clavinova speakers, so I'm not particularly concerned anyway.

best wishes

Rikki,

Good luck on the new keyboard, its always exciting to get something new!

I know you might not want to hear this, but there is a shop down here in Parramatta that can do Yamaha boards VERY cheap...

I just purchased my Tyros 2 off these guys for $4,400.00 inc GST and delivery up to where you are would be no more than $70.00

Please let me know next time and I will show you in the right direction

Cheers, Nick

Hi Rikki and congrats on your new board.

Fortunately you ended up with another inexpensive board and kept your hubby happy and cash balance in prime condition - haa haa (hope you don't mind a bit of my black humour)

I wish you many sleepless nights enjoying your new keyboard.

Have fun!

George

Rikki, I am so sad I don't know what to do??? It looks like Rikki is addicted to hardware....who would have thought??? Rikki how many keyboards can you play at the same time??? Oh well, I will go back and drown myself in software!!!

Congratulations Rikki,,but I'm a little confused. Didn't you buy an SD1 and you already have a Clavinova and OMB?
