It has finally arrived !!
Today I picked up my new Tyros 2 and what can I say... 6 hours later and I am still completely blown away.
I'll start by saying, the yamaha MS02 speakers are extremely weak and have no mid range at all. my $120.00 logitec 5.1 setup absolutely puts them to shame. So the yammy speakers went straight back into the box
Comming from the PSR 3000, the styles are now sooo much better, being tweaked with new sounds and intros etc. The multi pads are awesome and very usable!! It is such a huge leap from the PSR 3000.
I havent had a chance to get stuck into the HD recorder yet or even the pattern sequencer for that matter. I had the PSR tweaked so good, and just straight out of the box, the T2 absolutely puts it to shame in sound quality.
I will be posting some demos very soon
Cheers
Nick

Awesome Nick,
Glad to hear that your liking the T2. I guess I am going to need to listen to my T2 through some different speakers to get an idea of what you all are talking about regarding the sound quality.
Congrats,

I thought the G70 would crush the T2 especially if you dropped it on top, what with it's weight lol Please note that this is meant as a joke for those that find everything too serious on SZ.

Hey Nick! Congratulations on getting your Tyros2. Looking forward to chatting with you on Skype soon to get your feedback first hand. Lots of Tyros2 buds hanging out there so hope you and others here will join us in conference. Happy Tyros2 keyboarding. - Scott
I am very happy with my T2 after almost 10 months, basically since came out in the late november-december 2005 I know you will too, and by the way, if you have ANY questions about it, do not be shy.....there are a lot of people that can help you.

Congrats Nick!!!
I'm still lovin my tyros2 after 8 months. The guitars and saxes still amaze me. I had a psr3000 prior, there is no comparison. I too bought the tyros2 speakers with the keyboard. I hooked them up once!! They have been back in the box since december!! If I ever take it out of the house I might need them.............. Enjoy your new board. And don't plan on getting as much sleep as you were used too!!! -charley

at the moment, no questions really.
Just been spending alot of time exploring sounds and styles. i have been through most of the functions and menu options.
One thing i thought that was possible was to be able to change the wallpaper through the OS, instead it only lets u change the main screen's wallpaper.. Am I correct or missing something?
Comming from the PSR, the OS is pretty much straight forward and laid out the same way. the screen is sooooo much better!!
can people please give me some examples of good EQ settings to really bring the board alive?? at the moment i have only modified EQ 4 and EQ 5 when u select "EDIT" on the EQ page.
EQ 4 = "2DB" and EQ 5 = "6db".
i still think its not 100% right.. but what can people suggest for me?
Thanks,
Nick

You can load your own pictures into the T2 but they actually show behind the main one you've chosen to display things like style, multipad, registration name, upper 1,2,3 etc
