I had a PSR2000 oriental........after playing it for an hour - I wanted something else !

(Now, for you people that think that was out of line ... please forgive my warped sense of humor. I mean NO disrespect. It's just a modification of an old food joke !)

You are bad Dave. It's a good thing you are a talented musician, because your jokes are too deep for drunk people.

Isn't it strange how you meet people you have known for a long time in the oddest of places.
Obviously, Uncle Dave is known to us all at Synthzone, but Bob Gelman and Don M are part of my other parallel universe in yamaha-psr-styles. Hiya!Don and Bob!
As for Psr-A1000 oriental, I pass.New one to me. . But I would like to know what it is.
Sorry for my ignorance
cheers

Eddie,
Welcome to our "home". Both Bob and I have been members here long before he started the PSR groups. He is not as active anymore since the other groups take a lot of his time.
You will love this forum. We consider the people here as family, and we share in each other's triumphs and setbacks as well.
My wife even keeps up with things here, and she doesn't even like me.
Our "leader", Nigel, is a great guy and, although he stays in the background most of the time, is always available for help if needed.
Don
P.S. I almost forgot, for those you have not visited Eddie's website, there is valuable information there regarding Yamaha keyboards.

Wow!!
Thanks Don for your rapid response. Eleven minutes between my mail and your response, must be some sort of a record?
At first, knowing that you are a gigging professional, I wondered if you were at a loose end because it is 7:45 pm here in England, then I realised that you are PT and perhaps have just rolled out of bed!!
Thanks for your commercial on my website but I genuinely urge our fellow members to listen to the songs you have on your own website (as I do very often) I like your laid-back style very much and recommend that you send more songs to us via Bob's Forum.
cheers

Actually I'm on Central Daylight Time. It is 2:09 p.m. I'm trying to decide whether to go fishing or play golf!
It's my one night off for the week.

Central daylight? I assumed you were in LA (your profile).
As for not knowing whether to fish or play golf - no contest - it has to be fishing.it is also my favourite pastime (ours, actually, my wife likes to fish as well!)
Unfortunately, here in UK we cannot fish the rivers until the 16th June (to allow the fish to spawn).:O
Don't forget to send us some more of your songs.
cheers

Team.
To the best of my knowledge, Yamam will not be marketing the PSR A1000 here in the US. Our European friends might have to keep us updated on this.
Thanks,
AJ

Eddie, LA is abbreviation for Louisiana. I'm about 150 miles from Dallas, TX., in Northwest Louisiana.
We're having a little thunderstorm, so I may just stay home and relax today. I just got back from meeting with a friend of mine who is opening a new nightclub, so I'm even doing business on my day off!
