I'm trying to pull a sequence from the disk/data filer back into the M1 sequencer to edit stuff. I saved a few sequences on my data filer by playing each sequence while the data filer was on sequencer play mode. I now know that was not the way to do it... then i did a data dump to the filer and i'm still not sure how to move the sequence from the disk/filer back to the M1 sequencer! Any (user friendly) words of wisdom? Thanks

P.S. I'm obviously a novice with a second hand machine...

To transfer the M1's sequence to the MDF2 and then back into the M1, Go to the MDF mode on the MDF-2 and press record. Press the Global button on the M1, and then page up to DUMP page. Select Sequence. Press the key. Press Stop on the MDF-2.

This operation will dump the entire sequence memory (all 10 songs) at once.

To resend the data to the M1, just go to the MDF mode, select the 'song', and press play. It will dump the information back into the M1.

Note: The M1 must be set to the same Global MIDI channel as when the file was recorded, or else it will ignore the transfer.
