Boo I just left DNJ's wife Nancy's...birthday party...Donny played ..about 250 people were there including Uncle Dave[with Donna, the lovely mother of UD's daughters]..and I was there with my[also lovely ] wife Kathleen..

Donny put on a heck of a party..for Nancy's big 50..

Wish I could have been there, but I had to work. I knew it would be a real blast.

I'm OK ! I'll fill y'all in after a while......I'm still reeling from the "Miami Hurricane" that blew thre here, took all my money and furniture with it ( her ) and went south.

Well, I had it comin' - I rarely look b4 I leap, and this time, it really came up to bite me in the "you know what".
All that said - I'm doing great. I'm in debt up to my eyeballs for a year or so, but I have plenty of work, plenty of energy, and plenty of support from friends and family. As you may have heard ..... my wife of 18 years and I are back together ( providing she doesn't run off with Fran Carango ), and we're all working together to prepare for the birth of our first grandson in December. Lots goin' on, my friend. Lots and lots.

I start teaching at a private, non-traditional school this week. Full time music teacher grades 6-12. Looks challanging and fun.

GREAT NEWS, Dave! Teaching is one of the most rewarding things I've ever been involved in. To teach music would be fantastic. And, you'll be great at it! That "heart on the sleeve" approach will serve you well, and the kids will be crazy about you.

I've been toying with the whole "uncle" thing .... still not sure. These kids are a little old to think it's cute. I used that when I tought 4-8 graders. This will be mostly HS age. We'll see.

I kind of feel neglected, abandoned Uncle Dave Mr Boyd ...
I've been a student of yours since around 1999 ... and I still need edjukaten!

Well I think it's fine Dave. You've always been Uncle Dave to us and I'm in my 50s. Don't sweat on it. It's too late to change things here at Synth Zone. I think you'll always be Uncle Dave to most of us here whatever you decide you want to be called. Maybe most of us have the mentality of 4-8 graders

Well he also posted one of you and him. It was very good actually, but it looks as if he deleted it from the post. Go figure.
