Hi everyone,
Sorry it has taken so long to post here on the forum. I just wanted to thank everyone for all their support and encouragement while I was involved with operation Iraqi Freedom. Once again, you all demonstrated why this forum is so vibrant and relevant. I sold my PSR 2000 to Eddie last year, so I have been out of the Arranger realm for some time now. I do play piano still along with DJ'ing for weddings and corporate christmas parties etc....so i have been reluctant to add 2 cents to many of the discussions. I do read the forum regularly though, and I continue to learn so much about music and life in general from the postings. It continues to be my number 1 research engine for all kinds of things....just wanted to say hi and mostly thank you for all your support. God bless you all....Brian

Brian..
The fact that you are not playing an arranger should not keep you from posting once in awhile. You are "grandfathered in" my friend.

Great to hear from you.

Hi: Brian
Glad to hear your back safe & sound.
Just because you don't have a arranger right now don't mean
you can't post once in awhile to let us know what's going on.

You might get a new arranger before long anyway.
Have a good one.
Denny

Welcome Home Brian. Glad you're back SAFE and SOUND. Though you may not be currently playing an arranger, you're valuable comments and feedback on all topics is ALWAYS encouraged here on SZ. Btw: Great to hear that you're back to focusing on the Piano. I suppose I'd do well to take your lead and get back to playing the Steinway more now too. - Scott

Brian,

Welcome home. Thanks to men like you, we have our freedom. Gratitude to you for serving!

If you're interested in getting back into keyboarding, Sam Ash has a great sale coming up tomorrow. (5-midnite) I think it's nationwide. 18 mo. no interest, no pmts.
I'm picking myself up a PSR2100. Sorry, I don't mean this to sound like an ad. I DO NOT work for Sam Ash...just a loyal customer!

Thanks for the Grandfather Clause Ya'll
Scott- I have really enjoyed getting back to basics with the piano...I had gotten very rusty. Getting much easier now, learning to feel abit more comfortable playing in different keys again ....something about just the piano and singing...it keeps me honest....I do enjoy watching skilled musicians on an arranger though, it really can capture an audience
Angelo - How is your musical journey going? Do you still love the EV's or have you changed...mine are still performing wonderfully and dispite the early hiss and humm dilema, all is well. I read the reviews and threads on your firat performance...Bravo my friend...
Tim - I bought all my stuff at Sam Ash last year, and had planned to pay it all off using the money I earned on weddings and Christmas Parties. I did 4 Christmas Parties, then went off to Iraq. So there is still 3500 on my card that I will pull out of savings to avoid interest...needless to say, Momma is not the happiest person ...though in fairness to her, she is my biggest supporter and fan...so I need to wait until I actually earn the money back and then some before I wander down the Sam Ash path again...
Eddie, Still looking forward to seeing you down south soon. I'll let you know....
To everyone else, Thanks for the welcome home. It's great to be back Brian

Welcome back Brian. Glad to have you here. I will always remember not only that you served your country so well, but also the generous offer you made to ship your 2k to me so that I could use it for a couple of weekend gigs I had last year, when my original 2k was in repair. I now have a 2000 again, and this one works very well.
