Here's me playing some "FUNK"! This is a short demo (just under 2 minutes) of me playing funk (this is my style of music here baby!) I recorded a simple backing track, and then solo'd "live" switching between various instruments. The timing isn't perfect, but what the hell, it gets your ass movin It's MP-3 so the quality isn't top, but boy I tell I couldn't sit still while playing this tune. Bring on the G-Funk! Enjoy http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=4421FE013E580E9C Listen to this tune and then picture me cruising down the street in my Lincoln Town Car! Yeah Baby!

Glad you liked it That demo was just me screwing around improving. Hell I don't know if I'm playing the right notes half the time If the hair on the back of my neck stands up, and I find that my butt dances (right out of my chair) while I'm playing, I must be doing something right I just used a simple Roland RS-70. Didn't do any major edits, just on a whim I pulled that one out of my back side. Squeak

Thanks for listening folks This was a really fun song to play. I tried to give it a "live" feel, by not using quantizing I decided to leave out the classic (wah guitar) that pretty much defines a funk piece. I wanted to see if I can still get it to sound like funk without that guitar. Squeak [This message has been edited by squeak_D (edited 06-22-2006).]

That's just what it was "a groove". Grooves are fun to create Just let them play, and solo your butt off. I'll end up putting chord changes in it. I just sat down at the keyboard, pressed record and went from there. That's why it's less than 2 minutes, and ended by fading out from the grooves orignial start point. Squeak
