Funny, I formed almost the opposite opinions on the difference in styles between Korg PA80 and Yamaha. To me it seems the Yamaha styles are more simplistic and allow for more "playing" by the player. Most of the Korg PA80 styles were quite full of riffs and nuances, although the fills were nearly useless.
I did think the drum sounds on PA80 sound more real and live than the Yamahas, although Tyros is a big improvement over earlier PSRs.

icy 'James': Korg definitely rules for contemporary music genre styles. Your songs clearly demonstrate the strength of Korg sounds & styles. I still love my Tyros (that is whenever I finally get it back from Yamaha factory repair) , but I'm quickly realizing there is no one perfect keyboard brand out there as each company offers a unique type of sound. I'd like to add a Korg arranger to my music equipment arensal someday, but Korg's gonna need to add 'rootless' chord voicing recognition first. - Scott

for arranger users-
it's not strange to see more arranger gig users prefer Yamaha over korg-no midi file play back only or mp3 playback people(more or less karaoke people behind keyboards).

yes korg drums sound better, has better synth power, better built quality(not pa 50)and more pro look BUT

yammy got the right things in all in one pakage.
they are

better, natural (and more)fills(unrealistic and only 2 fills from korg)

pads which can play loops(yes major realtime musthave-you can sound as if you have 15 fingers-like korg's RPPR and roland's RPS function on their workstations)

arranger and mid file play back function unity-
choose a arranger drum style while you are playig a mid file and make your rock mid file play jazz drum style

of course better /flexible vocal input and harmonization(under 1499$)-so don't say PA 1x has better

more simu efx, eqs, more 3rd party support, bettr OS and the list goes on

and yes that's why they sell better too.

some may say psr 3k is not a pro keyboard but they change their minds when they see more and more pros using it.

but if you have 2500$
don't buy tyros or pa 1x(by adding 1000$)

buy pa50/60(1000$) and psr 3000(1500$).

done.

The composer and original performer is Chuck Mangione. It used to be the (signature) tune of NCRV Zaterdag Sport (for the Dutch among us )

Strange how a post showing a link to a simple song could end up in the ol' discussion Yamaha vs. Korg (it's like having a Java vs .Net discussion at work :-))
