Sure does look like the X-1.... Just looks like they changed the color... Is this really what it will look like? I hope not because it just looks like a silver X-1..

Yes ...they have used the X1 case .
But the inside is different .
SD1 sound engine ...specs say 24 megs of sound rom .
The SD1 is 48 megs . You can load up to 50 patterns .
The Biggest difference between the X1 vs. XD9 will be how you navigate it !
The XD9 will have more screen dependency vs. the X1 . If you notice ...no style list like the X1 . This navigation will appeal to japanese end users IMHO .
Another BIG improvement over the X1 will be the drums ! The .wav files ( live drums) are the best I have heard ! dano

WOW! Something on the specs list just caught my attention.....

Song Record: Real time song recording to disk.

Am I reading this right or is this keyboard set up like the Yamaha's with direct disk recording? Didn't the MS series have a sequencer like the Yamaha's too? If the sequencer is direct disk then how many tracks? It doesn't say anything about number of tracks and editing features... Also any idea what the price will be?

This is nothing new .
With the integration of the hard drive ,
direct song record has always been available .
Well ..I could record direct to disk on the MS series when I think about it . dano

The module looks better than the X4; it says 24 Mb of sounds: I wonder what are the 24 Mb taken away compared with the SD1; by the way, for those interested, there is also O.S. 3.0 available to download for the SD1.

It appears the fill-in and variation buttons are still on the wrong (right) side.
