To the same guy???? Congratulations.
I played a 50th anniversary last night. By the way, Rikki, it was my first night back using the Ketron Midjay. I enjoyed the night at least as much as the couple did!
I wish you many more happy years together.

Hi Rikki
Many congratulations to you and your wife.May there be many many more years for you both.
What is satisfying is that you are obviously so delighted about this landmark that you want to tell the world about it! Good on 'yer
BTW My wife and I were also married in February. I remember how it snowed on the day here.In Sydney it was probably in the 90's on your day?
Just for the record we have just celebrated the reverse of your years.
cheers
Eddie Johnson

What a surprise. I thought you were a youngster. Why, you're my age, and that's scary.

My congratulations Rikki, hope you manage 70 years...

OT....the husband of my wife's cousin, was heard recently mumbling something like: "in my 33th year of marriage with her, I will be declared a saint!!!", so if your husband doesn't have a halo, you are doing the right thing!!!

Hope you have many more!!!

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes.
Wow, some of you have even been married longer than us.

Don, you've gone back to a Midjay ( as well as your new PA800?)

Eddie, don't worry, Rikki's a strange name for a female even in Aust.. Most people can't pronounce my real name when they see it written ( Ulrike) so I decided to shorten it to Rikki. Now they just get my gender confused instead of my name haa haa.

Bernie, how could a youngster have that wealth of "useless" knowledge I've accumalated over the years?? Actually I was a child bride , snatched from the cradle, 36 years old next birthday "I WISH" haahaa.

thanks again everyone.

best wishes

That's no problem to pronounce, it sounds very Scandinavian,
and also in most of Europe your name is quite common.

Congrats with your 35 years, myself I've "only" counted 33 so far..
and that's with the same wife!

Cheers

Hi Jonny,
not over here in Australia. In all the years I've lived here, I've only ever met one lady with the same name.
Rather freaky really I met her at a teddybear show, turned out she lived down the road, created miniature teddy bears ( which is also a hobby of mine , hence Rikki's Bears username) and we both came from Austria originally.

Small world.

As Taike mentioned, I think the name is German origan.

best wishes

Thanks Taike,
had no idea of the origin or meaning of my name.
Gathered it was either German or Austrian(having been born in Austria).

HI RIKKI,
Many years ago I got my first piano playing job in a big band. I had been playing trumpet before. Our Lead tenor and arranger was a guy named Wayne Ulrike from Germany, same last name as your first name. He was the best big band composer/arranger I ever knew. tremendous talent. Having read many of your posts, I conclude that you too have a tremendous talent.
Best to ya,
Bebop
PS: I have been married for 57 years.

Hi Bebop,
now that's interesting, my christian name can be used as a surname as well.

I think enthusiasm has more to do with it than talent. haa haa.
That nice.

Wow, 57 years. You were originally snatched from the cradle too. haa haa

best wishes
