I'll probably end up keeping the 3000, buy the Bose, and attach an umbrella to the Bose pole for shade. The umbrella worked great for me, and there's no doubt about the Bose--you're gonna' love it! For now, and probably for the next few years, the 3000s will be my bread and butter machines--they've paid for themselves several times over and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Larry, I posted detailed instructions on the PSR-Tutorial site on constructing a laptop platform. Go to http://psrtutorial.com/Resources/musictips.html then click on Projects. Scroll down the projects page and you'll see the drawings, instructions on building the platform and photos. It's really not at all difficult, and you can make it from Lexan or Aluminum. The aluminum model is about the same weight as the lexan, but a lot stronger. Good Luck, Gary ------------------ Travlin' Easy
