Could someone show me how to post pics here on the zone in a topic...? I've got pictures of my Lincoln that everyone was asking to see some time ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Squeak

Squeak,

You can post them if you have a website space available to store the photo. You'll find the instructions at http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/ubbcode.html

Good Luck,

Gary

I think most ISP's have a spot for doing that without having a website. I know bellsouth does.

Yeah it sure is a nice ride.. Long trips are great in it.. Downside is it's like driving a car while sitting in a leather lazy boy.. Tends to make you sleepy on long trips. Believe it or not this car gets great gas mil. the 93 Lincoln is still considered the best year for the town car. That big old V8 get's me from Charleston West Virginia, to Erie Pennsylvania on one tank of gas!!!! It averages between 26-28 miles per gallon on the highway.

Squeak,
Need to change the wheels with chrome, and lower the springs.

Perhaps hook up your PSR to the car speakers too. You'll be set

Hey, you guys across the pond don't realise how lucky you are re gas prices. Here in UK we're paying around £0.75 per litre, converted that works out about $5.34 a gallon. Not many Lincolns over here!

Tell me about it Will!
I hate the fact that for every £10 in petrol I put in my car £8 of that is tax.... and then they have the cheek to impose congestion charging and road tolls (to encourage us to use public transport and leave the car at home!) Bah!!

I have a lovely Ford Probe that eats fuel for fun. It sits on the drive most days now because I bought a little ford escort diesel to run around in to save on fuel expenses.

Nice car BTW Squeak. Very nice!

Best to all
Tony W

At 26-28 mpg this expensive car is more than just beautiful. There must be some high tech engineering in there as well. I have a friend who has a Cadillac and he says he gets great mileage as well!!!
It's a beautiful car squeak. It's a keeper.

Starkeeper,
I don't know what they did to the engine in the 93 Lincoln's, but they did a great job. The Lincoln I have is a one of a kind. The color was custom done (it's supposed to be mocha, but a few things were added giving it a darker more metallic look) The brown top wasn't put on by Lincoln. The original owner had it done somewhere in New York. The best part is Lincoln made a serious boo boo with the interior. The car is the signature series, but the interior is from the limited edition... She's my other wife. One I get to play with everyday...

Car manufacturing in the US got so much better from 1993 onwards. Put it down to computer design and manufacturing I guess. I and my wife have 2 Chevy Camaro Z28s. One is a 94 the other a 98 model. The 94 model is 9 years old now and is still a fantastic car. It has a 5.7 litre engine and still gets up to 24 miles per gallon on the highway which is much better than the average family SUV. US made cars are now better value than than they ever have been.

I thought gasoline in Lousisiana had gotten really high, but it is still $1.47.
My 96 Aerostar gets 22 MPG. It only has 167,000 miles, so the mileage may get better after it is broken in more.

A friend, who works at GM Canada, said they had a party at GM in Oshawa celebrating (and hyping) a car (not sure what model) that is more reliable then the japanese cars!!!
GM makes a car that is more reliable then a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry? I'm skeptical.

Are you just bragging DonM ??? I pay up to around $2.27 per gallon for Premium here in Ventura County California. Still not high enough to stop me driving a car with a V8 engine.

people are worried about gas prices?.....then they go buy cigarettes at $5.00+ a pack, lottery tickets galore, casino gambling, $5.00 beers at a bar when you can buy a 6 pack for the same price, and who knows what to spend money on......? it's all about personal priorities ..........sorry for venting

It's down a little more here. $143. at Walmart. I suppose it has something to do with the refineries and oil fields being very close.
Of course everything is less expensive here, but also wages are not so high. It's all relative.
