I have said this so many times.....
go to the store....
bring your equipment....
play thru some of these sound systems at full volume, bring some SMf files to play also while you go out and listen to them also bfore you make any decisions. Asking whats best here without listening is fruitless....
only YOU can make the choice IMO....
sound is a very personal thing!!

Good Luck...

There is not a store in the country that stocks all four of these powered 10" cabinets. And very few places even carry Yorkville and even fewer have FBT, there are none in my area that I can audition.
They only have Mackie and JBL.
That is why I am trying to network with people who know about them. I am sorry if this topic offends you.

FBT MaxX 2A
Yorkville E160P
JBL EON10
Mackie SRM 350

Thanks, cassp

EV SXa100 is a good idea, but perhaps bulkier and heavier than I want to move around with. I will go listen to them, I bet they have more clarity and warmth than tyhe Mackie SRM 450s I use now. TheSXa100 is 10 pounds lighter and an inch shorter than the SRM 450.

RinTin .. I own a pair of the Yorkville 160P's and the Powered 10" subwoofer the TX series. One advantage the 160P's have is the "Loudness" button. What this does, is at low volume when depressed you get a Bass Boost. Not overpowering, just more bottom end. They are a very bright sounding, and when cranked are crystal clear.
I also had the opportunity today to listen to the FBT Jolly 8b. Very small and light!! For the size the bass response was amazing.
AS DNJ stated you have to hear them with your stuff!!! All your choices are quality speakers ... Good Luck

I had the EV's and they were great except for the loud hiss that is ALWAYS present. Even with the volume all the way down, and NO input signal present - the horn hissssses. No problem in louder places, but for smaller venues - it's noisy.
