Hello there dear AJ from Ketron.
I heard that (Ketron) uses a 64 voice DREAM/
ALMATEL soundchip. DREAM already has a 256 voice-soundchip available including 256 Mb (!)flashrom inside.

WHEN KETRON PUT THIS NEW CHIP INTO THEIR
SD-1 or coming S?-? ???!!!

How about those "hardware sliders", maybe 16
would be better than 8. Actually Casio MZ-2000 has 9 hardware sliders just below it's screen. Drawbard (pages) takes 9 each.

What about thar up/down - programmable arpeggiator, because even much cheaper Casio MZ-2000 has 15 presets !

More ROM and RAM memories would be nice, because memory chips are relative cheap nowadays. Good screen => much bigger than current would be nice. Not so important if
it isn't full colour.

I like most of those Solton - Ketron voices as well as styles are very good for European taste.
Maybe some more traditional ethnic dance styles still needed. Like: Russian/Italian/
Finnish type Polkas, Tangos, Foxtrots, Walzes, Jenka, etc... with accordion, etc
old fashion instruments like balalaika, etc
voices would be the most wellcomes also.

If you replace the chip , could you load the information from folder 90 and still have the SD1 operate the same ?

Suppose you could assign an arpegiator to any part of a style ?

This could give the SD1 owner unlimited style manipulation via the arpegiators .

Isolate Chord 1 from a dance style , page over the effects (under arrange view) and assign arpeg instead of chorus or delay ?

Make sense ?

When I mentioned in a couple places here about karma function added to style tracks -- I mean namely what you tell. But karma function is better than arpeggiator (it supersede arpeggiator functionality). Nevertheless: let's start with only arpeggiator . Then add more midi-transforming effects to Chord1 (and chord2 and to all other tracks)

And not only on SD-1 It will be a competition -- and another generation of arrangers...
