Grandpa Doug, I think they're being facetious. Plus they both own Yamaha's and they're rathered prejudiced. You've got to admit that Yamaha is stacked at the top of the heap when it comes to an Arranger Keyboard with a boat load of features with the sounds to match. But I agree in your philosophy Doug; try them all out and get the one that best suits YOU, ME, HIM, HER, IT???, etc. I have a PSR 2000 and although I like it very much, if you've been reading these threads lately you notice that I have not made Yamaha out as god or something to that effect but I am actively seeking other avenues in Arranger Keyboard makes and models. The lastest being the Korg Pa1x/Pro. I had high hopes that it would be my next "Pro" Arranger Keyboard then Korg goes a pulls a fast one by only giving the Pa1X/Pro "62" note Polyphony so in theory I would actually be stepping down and not up in the world of Arrangers by the fact that I already own a "64" note Polyphony Arranger in the PSR 2000. But I am not disheartened at all really because eventually there WILL be a Professional Arranger made that will be the ONE that's over the top and then I will purchase it; Lord willing and the River don't rise. , regardless of the Manufacturer. I'm really hoping though that Yamaha will be the one that comes through in its production and creation because of the great User base there is on Yamaha Arrangers. Tons and tons of Styles, Registrations, Multi-Pads, etc., or better put; Mega bytes upon Mega bytes of em' just waiting to be downloaded plus all the wealth of knowledge on Yammie Arrangers from the Yahoo Groups, SZ, and other Forums on the internet. They're a great bunch of people and I think some of them know more about different Yamaha Arrangers than Yamaha does.

That was well written....I was thinking about making the move back to Korg ( I had the i30 ) from the Psr2000.......But I have been overwhelmed by the huge Yamaha base with all the styles , users,... etc,etc....
I think I will stay with Yamaha .....my reasons....You said it all!!!!

Ya Mike, I know. Once a Chevy man always a Chevy man. I just enjoy pulling their chain every once in a while. Guess there always will be those who drudge through life with the same old same old same old mundane stuff. Kind of stuck in the mud you might say. Never really capable of thinking for themselves and just go with the flow. One of the things I admire about old Uncle Dave is his open mindeness, and knack for giving everything a shot at his style. We each got our ways of doing things but at least he isn't close minded and either a died in the wool Ford or Chevy man. By the way, I love my keyboard for the music it produces and not it's name. It fits my style but every time I get a new model I look at them all and get what works the best for me. I don't like being a follower and have my nose up the leaders you know what.

if you love your Technics , sometimes easier to stick with them especially if you like the operating system.
You shouldn't have as many hassles getting used to a new kn, wheras the other 2 will be a new learning curve. If you want something different and don't mind learning something new, then great.
Technic fans seem to have a tendency to keep going back to the kn's. I've had 5 or 6 over the years going back to the kn800 in the late 80's. I've also had rolands, korgs & yamaha too, but there's always been a kn as well.
Presently I have the kn7, yamaha 9000pro & roland va7. The only one I wouldn't do without is the kn.
By all means, check them all out before you decide as one of the other 2 may suit you better. Lets face it, technology has moved on.
