Well I've been in business since 1993, started off selling mobile electronics and high end audio and video systems for cars, then moved on to home audio and video equipment.

Having a background in sound engineering and a ok musician I have always been involved with music, instruments and sound equipment.

So a new wing of the Audioworks empire is musical instruments and sound.

I will probably try to cater more of what is missing in the big box stores, and since this is an add-on business I have that opportunity.

I have currently set-up relations with Ketron, and I have a meeting with Korg after the NAMM show. I will be contacting some others too, especially the more hard to get companies like GEM and possiblly mediastation, if they will have me.

So once I'm completely up and running there actually might be a place where one can demo hi-end hard to reach arrangers played through systems like BOSE and such.

Thanks for listening

Frank, all the best to you. You'll be certainly filling a gap that the big box stores aren't filling, and just a couple of hours down the road from where I live. That's a real plus.

Hello Frank
Wersi are looking to expand there dealerships in the US, so it may be worth emailing them, they are also at NAMM. (Booth 484, with the main sales manager in attendance)
The main sales manager and contact is Helmut Kwiczorowski h.kwiczorowski@wersi.net
Good luck with your endeavour

Bill

Wow, I wish you the best of luck and really encourage you to push these 'less mainstream' brands. Obviously competition is great for the consumer, and because the mainstream brands don't seem to really have a lot of competition (I speak mostly for North America as I'm not too familiar with Europe et. al.) I think they can tend to become complacent. If GEM, Wersi, Ketron, etc. can really getting their feet in the door, I think it will really benefit the keyboard industry (specifically arrangers which are few and far between here). Good luck!
